FIRE DOORS
Fire doors are vital in achieving the required compartmentation of
your building. Your building is divided into separate sections, each of which designed so that in the event of a fire, smoke and flames are contained within that compartment.
Use of the wrong type of door, incompatible hardware, incorrect installation, or damage will result in a weak point, meaning the compartment will no longer function as intended. This is what makes taking the correct steps when dealing with fire doors so important.
Failure to comply can place lives and property at risk and is likely to result in criminal prosecution.
T&M can offer you a solution to survey – install – maintain, to ensure you are covered when it comes to fire door compliance.
We offer Fire door solutions in Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
FIRE DOOR SURVEYS
Fire doors are tested under stringent conditions to ensure they perform as intended in the event of a fire. Unlike other elements of the building (walls, ceiling etc.) fire doors do deteriorate, because they are placed within pedestrian routes and are subject to general wear and tear and sometimes damage.
Fire regulations demand that fire doors are examined at regular
intervals for superficial damage, structural damage and excessive bowing or deformation.
Our staff are fully trained to BM Trada Q mark standards to offer a range of survey options, from one-off inspections to intrusive fire door surveys with all architraves removed.
Using specialist software, each door will be given a unique reference that can be tracked during its life. Reports provided following surveys will highlight any non-compliant doors.
We provide fire door surveys in Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, West Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
